Thursday, June 29, 2006:just my luck
damn pissed at work, i was assigned to do from 345pm to 11pm today. however, last minute changes cause me to knock off at 745pm. so irritating. so last minute and i only work for 4 hrs. wad the hell! no free cab to go home somemore. i sound abit cheapo here but hey i got free cabs all the time. hahaha.

anyway, gy and i went to watch Just My Luck. it is a reeaaallllliiiiiiiieeeeeee trashy movie. but i like! hahhahaa. the plot of the show is so predictable but the movie is just oh-so-sweet. it is about this gal who is damn lucky and this guy being so unlucky. when they kiss one day, fate has it that their luck swopped. this caused them to bring closer to each other and then they were together. end of movie! hahhaa. this show shows that God creates one perfect person for everybody when the gal tried to kiss many other men but her luck juz din come back. n i sorta believe in that. juz a matter of realising that he/she is the one for u. hahahha.

Wednesday, June 28, 2006:soccer
went swimming on sun. the last session was quite a long time ago and i felt so unhealthy. eating, working and sleeping. haha. feel healthy again! :)

supported korea but korea had let me down for the world cup. i am secretly rooting for england even though i know that their chance of lifting the covted trophy is super slim. think they should win portugal since portugal digged their own grave by having so many yellow and red cards! but semis against brazil is like an egg trying to outbeat a stone. ok, lousy analogy but u get my idea! haha.

this will be my 1st and probably my last catching moments of the world cup! haha. dun play soccer and dun really like to watch soccer matches too. haha.

the dsta people were all saying that obs camp was damn fun! cant wait for my turn! we can make it fun too! n melvin is joining us too! yeah!

Saturday, June 24, 2006:signing my life away
i have given my soul and body to the moe liao. penned my signature today. actually, i am quite ok with it. i have come to terms with it for quite some time. not like kandy who says that she woke up today suddenly became puzzled. haha. anyway, if i were to break bond then i have to pay like 400 k ++. haha. cannot afford to break, otherwise i have to sell backside le. ( not as if it is in hot demand)

great! now i am known as the corny, lame guy liao. haha. 1st, my words of appreciation. well, i asked for it ba since i was the one who came up with it. to kelvin, i used your idea actually! haha. dun even dare to write it here. but the words are going to be shown on the day of ceremony. later minister Tharman will say how come MOE chose such a person. hahaha. anyway, our skit is going to be funny too. haha. and it is not my idea!!! hahaa....

and my dad pronounce OBS as obese! so now my bros label me fat liao. hmpk! irritating.... anywae, was nice when we wacthed i not stupid 2 together as a family. i thought it was quite meaningful. i watched before le, btw. my mum cried. but dunno is due to happiness or sadness la. haha

Wednesday, June 21, 2006:work
my life is so exciting now! work, work and more work. i have been working 8 to5 for the past few nights. yes, 8pm to 5am. singaporeans like to gamble so much. well, this is evident from all the mahjong sessions and the lunar new year gambling dens.

went to meet the other moe scholars on monday. 1stly, i am so impressed by the lifts in MOE building. when i approached the lifts, i key in which level i wanna go. then the system will direct me to the lift. mine was lift C. and when clarence and i entered the lift, we wanted to press the floor button but lo and behold, other than the 'save me, help' button, there isnt any others. the lift just brought us up to level 24. cool! okie, maybe i am sua gu, but ya COOL! haha.

cant wait to go overseas le. because there is so much work for me to do. like the BB dinner and the maths assignment thingy too. haiz. juz take 1 day at a time man. anyway, 2 matches at 10 and 2 soccer matches at 3am. this has proven to me that from the time 1140pm to 230am, i am so bored. cos fewer people call at that time.

so to all pre-paid card holders, pls call in at this time to entertain me and i will accept your bets de. but then again, tonight matches are boring. england vs sweden was exciting this morning. i daresay it was the most exciting game so far!

*i am not a soccer fan, gimme the chance i will sleep!* hahaaha

Tuesday, June 13, 2006:World Cup 2006
the world cup season is on! since last friday, many people have watched, drunk many cans of beer, eaten millions of peanuts, laughed or swore at the teams that they support. luckily, i dun belong to this group of people.

went to singapore pools to work for the 1st day ever since world cup starts from 8 to 5 this morning. the office is just like a battleground. whopping 80 telephone operators to accept those gambling freaks out there just before the australia-japan match. and even 80 is not enough. during the last 30 min before the match starts, phone calls juz keep coming. there was even once where i have to stop halfway because i could not even talk anymore. but it is really fun, la. different people called to bet and they have different mentalities. some just wanna soak into the world cup fever; some wanna to earn quick cash while others who think they are gambling gods consider the odds very carefully and try to be spot on.

but i hate conversing in chinese! ahaha. this is because of the terms and technicalites in chinese are not firm in my head. everytime when i know that the customer is chinese-speaking, i will swear or say damn before picking up the phone. hahhaa.

and with so many people around, for every miss or goal by the teams, there will be response in the whole room and it is quite fun to watch together.

going to the battlefield again on thurs with clare and gy! yeah! but u guys work until 3 leaving me behind until 5... haiz. if i m not wrong, thurs got england match. think the phone calls will keep coming too!

Support JAsmine Tye from Singapore Idol! hahaaha. cos she is chio, can sing and she is from VJ!!! hahahaha...

it is not difficult to notice that in all the recent competitions, we have seen people from VJ aka victorians taking part in them. ie. Cheryl Star Idol, Lee Teng in SuperHost, Li Dan (yes, Li dan!!!) in SuperBand, Felicia Chin in the now-defunct StarSearch and Joanne Peh in Miss Singapore Universe. hahaha. anyway, that aside, jasmine is cool! hahaha.

thank u zegui for the card! went to Lot 1 just to buy the blazer from man's studio and got the 10% discount from him. haha. then went down to baikai bdae party at east coast with him and gy. saw those people from camp again.. haha, so long never meet them le. had a good chat with them. a pity bai kai was too busy to talk to us.

HAPPY BDAE BAI KAI!!

:amazement
nobody tags on my blog liao. does this mean a blog with declining viewership? hahaha. not that i am bothered by it. i will still express my thoughts and feelings as before, especially now that i am alone and not with my friends most of the time, slogging my heart out then still must voice out my feelings.

i am totally amazed at my dad again. this time round, he actually went to the imperial college website and printed everything that i should know from the website. and that is tens of pages. i am so shocked. but sometimes, he can make me boil till efferverscence can be felt in my body. thats life ba, i guess. my dad just caught darren learning driving behind his back. he was so angry that he scolded him very badly. however, behind darren's back, he praised him in front of us n mum that he used his own money to learn money. my dad was impressed. hahahahaa.

my teacher juz came back from shanghai. and she bought me a SGD100 plus woollen shirt/turtleneck for me from espirit. i feel quite weird and so paiseh. haha. feel touched and dunno how to react also.

n i know a whopping sum of 5 people buying asus laptops from pc show. well, to clare and ziyang i am not kicking myself yet. u know the ACS motto, 'the best is yet to be'? thats why ACS is always not the best. hahaha. oops, just kidding. shall patiently wait for my fujitsu from nus de. if i am disappointed then i ll go to sim lim to buy the asus de lo. maybe i may buy ibm in the end. hahhaa. but thats definitely the last resort. haha.

Sunday, June 04, 2006:choc fondue!!!
went to stef's bdae party yesterday with janice. stef is my church fren and jan knows her from sngs. swedish meat balls are yummy but the highlight was the chocolate fondue! she bought that machine whatever u call it! temptations are hard to resist. mmmm.. haha

but was shocked to see joanne too. she knows stef. hmm.. small world! haha. gd to see old frenz around. still cant forget the chocolate fondue. hmmmmm... hahaah.

saw today's paper. it featured the notorious nus business sch advertisment. IT SUX. seriously, it doesnt only reflect badly on NUS, it reflects badly on Singapore too. if you are good, you are good. there is no need to reinforce that point. BUT NUS business is ranked no. 92!!! and the gal in the advert shrieked in delight when she saw that letter and ignored others like wharton.... hmm interesting! in that case, smu should not link their courses to wharton. smu chose the wrong school man! should be NUS!!! i am not anti-NUS here. in fact i am proud that NUS is getting more recognised. this is good and it reflects well on the education system in singapore. however, pls do not tarnish that dark-horse image by having lame, cheesy adverts. too diabetic for me.

saw the new maths syllabus for jc. feel that some of the topics are fun! like methods of difference. it is a fun topic done by the f maths students in the past and it is do-able for the normal math students too. but i am quite amazed by the graphing calculator part. students are expected to key in some numbers and expected to throw out the answers from it but not know what happened and why. take for example, matrices. in the past, this is done by the f maths students. now, the students are supposed to use the GC to find the solutions to the matrices without knowing why and how. in the old syllabus, we have to work out manually to find them and i feel that this tests the thinking process, no doubt tedious. but whats the purpose of using the GC without knowing the process. but on the whole, i feel that the change is generally better but that means much more is expected from students. arts students are going to suffer unless u r really proficient in maths.

Friday, June 02, 2006:BOSS is damn ex!
went to pc show at suntec with clarence, zh, zy. feel that it should be changed to laptop show. it has nothing much but lots of laptops. now i feel that asus laptops are good too! haha. 1 more option for me. but knowing myself, in the end, i ll stick to fujitsu one. haha.

this afternoon, went out with duane because he had 2 $50 vouchers from BOSS. when we entered the shop and looked at the price, we just walked out of it. $100 is not even enough for anything! a polo tee costs a whopping $209!!!! the tee shirt is made of gold man! totally awed!

but the annoying thing that happened was at somerset station. there was this guy who gave out leaflets, as usual because many people do that there. when he shoved a piece of paper to me, he said, " free ice-blended". i had the decency to say thank u and walked off. but that fucker just laughed out loud. i looked at the paper, it was some advert about kindergarten schools. i was so pissed but i walked too far out le if not i would have scolded him. what the hell! he was such a bitch lor, seriously! i mean, u wanna joke about it, ok la. u are fucking bored, i know but that snigger?? childish!
