friday is finally here! it is a day where i am going to receive the award from moe. this signifies a new chapter of my life. life in london as well as the soul i am giving to the moe in the near future. more importantly, i feel glad that this means it is one load off my parents. given my size, sure that load is heavy! hahaha.

it is less than 2 months since the overseas scholars 1st meet one another. quite glad that i am part of the acting crew because i make quite a number of friends from there too. too bad i cannot have the chance to know all of them. juz wanna say thank you to everyone out there for making my life so interesting. reallie enjoyed myself in all rehearsals and the talk cock sessions. haha.

know the nehru people even within less period of time but elated to know u all too. u all made OBS camp memorable and i hope i contribute a teeny weeny bit too at least. haha. hope that we can still keep in contact.

* oh ya juz for my own reference. this is e 1st entry i using my new laptop to blog! i love my keypad of the laptop! :)

really grateful for the belt and the noodles! this may sound random but to-u-who-is-concerned reallie a big thank you. to the rest who dunno what i am talking about it is ok.

felt bad asking gy, duane, wq and wl to follow me to go ikea when i am the only one who wanted to buy stuff but they said that they din mind shopping too lah. hahaha. anyway, the highlight of today is 5 BIG BACHELORS (hey aliteration... lolx) went to watch the lakehouse. it is a super trashy love story that is adapted from a korean show. it is about 2 people from past and future writing letters to each other and fall in love with each other. i m trying hard not to reveal too much and spoil the show for all those lovey-dovey couples who have yet to watch it. i dun like the ending though cos it is a happy and bizarre ending. it is catered for the audience to feel happy but i will prefer a sadder ending. all those who watch it will know what i mean. the sadder ending ll bring out the emotions in people.

moral of the story: sometimes u have to wait cos u ll never know who the right person is for u. something like the ACS motto, the best is yet to be. but the other side of the coin is how long do u want to wait. and even if u are living happily wif this soulmate of urs, u ll never be sure that he/she is indeed the perfect one for u. cos someone may come along and he/she ll make ur heartbeat faster or u may want to be closer to that someone. but this is not ur fault juz nature's. this is exactly wad happened in the show. so what is love?

today was damn hectic man! went to funan with my dad to buy the laptop. i know there are many people out there who asked me to think twice about it cos fujitsu is expensive blah blah. thank u guys for the concern. but i like the laptop too much! haha. and Darius is a himbo, i know! it is powerful and good-looking. i am not being hao lian here but i faced with a lot of internal struggles before making this decision. even after i bought it i still felt bad, but as weilin puts it, as long as i like it can liao. ahha. fyi, i bought the fujisu S7110E.

went to vs to certify true copies of my certs then talked to miss lau. think she is going to laugh her head off next fri during the ceremony. haha. saw weiming buddy teaching at vs. he is one yr my senior studying physics in imperial and on attahcment at vs! cool!

headed to east coast after that to meet my obs grp pple. my grp damn enthu and close man! reallie happie to know ALL of u guys. even planning for the next outing liao... i was late and they all learned how to blade liao so i din want to waste money and waste their time while teaching me. shall learn next time.:) then went to play frisbee. wah! damn shagged! so long never this shagged liao... haha.

realised time is running out. hope to go out wif my frenz more often!!

went for the induction course from thursday till yesterday. really tired cos wake up at 6 plus everyday. on thursday, the moe big shots came to talk to us. felt that some of the speakers were really inspiring. the new target after the talk, I WANT TO CHANGE LIVES. for the better of cos. hahaha. on thursday, all the moe scholars and awards people turned up.

saw many familiar faces. i know the overseas and some of the local scholars from the programmes and obs camp too. went to say hi to some study awards people, whom i know. but i was reallie troubled by this guy. i have known him since pri school, same class as him in sec 1, same uniform group in sec sch but i must admit that i am not that close to him. he saw me but din say hi to me. so i went up to him during tea break to say hi. he din look at me in the eye while talking and he gave me the impression that he wanted to leave that conversation. wth!!! our conversations stopped at which uni and course we are going and thats it! am i a ghost or do u really hate me that much? i dun even know the reason if u do lah! i seriously hope that it is not because he is a study award holder. cos hello! we are still going to be colleagues and to me, i dun care about the prestige of the awards. i feel that if u are good, u will eventually be somewhere high up in the organisation too, even though i muz admit that i have a little headstart. so y is he giving me that cold shoulder???

yesterday went to rgs to learn how to cook simples dishes. it is the 1st time i de-scale a fish (is that the correct term? haha), microwave vegetables (!!!), fry omelette (gj n gerald did the frying, i juz prepared the ingredients). really proud of our end-products. A* for effort! haha. (pls dun tell me E for effort not A*.. hahha) a real good experience!

just came back from obs camp. yup, i had a lot of fun!!! cos my watch/ group is damn fun and happening.

it all happened on the 1st day of the camp. while waiting for instructions and the boat to bring us to ubin, anthony started by telling cold lame jokes. that started the fire of all lame jokes and we juz bonded together. also, i din know the overseas scholars well who were in my group before the camp. so this camp is juz great. 1st day, the key thing was climbing logs, rockwalls etc. wif buddy and played some team games. i felt a tad disappointed that i did not achieve anything or climb up anything cos my partner Fran could not climb up. she kept apologising to me but i felt that it was ok. i thought i din do a good job either cos if i were really good then i could help her overcome it. juz felt damn bad.

2nd day:
the guys juz continue to talk cock and joke around. the major thing on that day was kayaking. in the morning, was reallie touched when zhixian gave me a seashell and asked me to take care for the day. felt that he reallie cared and i felt rejuvenated. he claimed that i cheered him throughout the whole climbing thing the day before and he heard it and did not give up. it was quite tough for him cos he is quite short (oops haha) if not he would have climbed it. felt happy. haha. anyway, the highlight was kayaking. around 60 people kayak together from sea to swamp and back to sea. reallie enjoyed myself. din apply sunblock but wanted suntan so applied sun tan lotion. the sun was super strong and i got burnt instead. hahaha. and clarence scolded me dumb for doing that. hahahaha. dun care lahz. have fun can liao. then we stayed overnight in outfield. felt quite sian cos it feels like army all over again. this time wif gals and i am civi clothes.

3rd day:
went to hike. the gals were our navigators. they did a wonderful job and i am reallie proud of them, seriously. cos i think this is the 1st time they are carrying a heavy load and trekking. love our group's dynamics where we juz talk cock, share stupid jokes and everything. anthony infectious laughter is farnie too. the guys are juz crazy. haha. felt demoralised cos we cld not find a few obstacles. but all in all, it is a fun experience.
earned 500 points from the hike. the points or credits is supposed to be used to buy stuff in building a free-standing, self firing mechanism to fire an egg. the team who shoots the furthest and doesnt crack the egg wins. our team was damn funnie. we had 20 min to design before buying the stuff. we cld stll talked rubbish and till the last min den finalised what we wanted to buy. den when we got to the manufacturing of the machine. we were still having fun. the guys lah. the gals were busy protecting the egg, and they did a good job too. at the last 5 min, we were still playing and tried to catapult an orange instead. it din work obviously cos the mechanism was meant for small objects. so it was damn funnie seeing the orange leaping in different directions. but the thing is we shot the furthest!!!! muahaha. it was so funnie. we were joking and stuff but we still produced a neat piece of work.
and 1 more thing: staying in the same bunk as the gals is also a learning experince for me. n i learnt it the hard way. when we came back from the hike, i forgot that i was not at home or in camp, i juz stripped of my long pants in the bunk and sheryl saw! hahah. felt so maluating and even tho she din see much and she felt ok. i still felt paiseh and bad. hahhahahhaa.

juz love my watch. Nehru, u rox! a special group i muz say.
PS: thank u Jake! he was the one who saw my burnt face and offered to lend me his moisturiser. i said ok but din bother to go to look for him to get it. he actually brought it to me and i felt reallie grateful. really touched.

This whole week is crap. went for talks then arent exactly catered for us. i feel that it would have been better for us to tour around schools or moe hq. not juz sit in talks and talk about general stuff. not that i do not care about the singapore scene. but this is definitely not the right time. preparations for the skit, and going for obs camp etc. are enough to kill us. was so tired last night. it was amazing as compared to me sitting down at singapore pools and work to 5am yet i din feel tired.

wont be blogging for the next few days cos i am going home late tomorrow and then obs camp on sat morning. how great! haha...

lets make the obs camp a reallie fun one! :)

saturday marked the last day of my work in Singapore Pools. think it is quite cool a temp job to do, albeit one that is no different from phone operator. the only sad thing is that cant really get to know the colleagues because this job doesnt allow one to mingle much often.

even had to do appraisal for the seniors. well, condemned those that need to be condemned. seriously, leader big fuck ar? show respect to ur colleagues lor.

anyway, yesterday might be the last day where i got to see weilin until next june? haiz. go korea liao lor. then when yvonne saw my phone, she transformed into a cam whore and started to take photos of herself. haha. haiz...

left early den no cake to eat. haiz. din know until clarence told me last night. cos clarence bought a cake to sort of celebrate birthdays for me, zh, yvonne and weilin!!! cos we all leaving le mahz. i was so touched but din get to eat the cake. damn!

went for rehearsal for the skit at moe this morning. quite ashamed cos i am e only one who have not memorised the script yet. haiz.

anyway, finished work at 11 last night. den played dota until 2am. to think i have played dota for so long, yesterday was the 1st time i played sniper for a full game. cooL! that aside. zhixian wanted to pick me up at serangoon at 745 so that we can go for breakfast before the skit. but i woke up at exactly 745! haha. den he came to pick me up! hahhaa. felt so paiseh. made chee hui wait for so long too. thank you zhixian! haha.

juz read ziyang's blog. if i were him, i would have been damn pissed too. after all the amount of hard work putting into the performance den kena axed. hope this thing will not happen for my ceremony man! this ceremony is important to me as well as my parents lo. kinda symbolic and somewhat form of assuring them that they dun have to worry about me anymore. :)

received a letter from the maths department of imperial yesterday. The letter basically asks us to prepare some fundamental topics of mathematics. saw this particular para (part of it)

ideally you will have all your A-level (or equivalent) mathematical knowledge at your fingertips when you arrive. We dont make use of formula sheets here and definitely dont allow them (or any calculators) in exams.

!!!! No calculators! now that sounds scary. hahaha. does it mean the whole exam will be just about proving? haiz. quite excited to go back to study. 2 yrs, 7mths (and still counting) of not studying and deacaying of my brain matter. this is not good.

france won portugal! yeah! hahaa. hate portugal. the games they played against holland and england were rubbish, ugly and they did not deserve to win. portugal took 40 yrs to reach the semis. ok, wait for another 40 yrs to reach the finals and another 40 yr to win the trophy bah. all the best, portugal!
