Can you still remember the time when you were in primary school, you saw something you fancy? On the next moment, you will start to beg, plead and give that pitiful face to ask your parents to buy for you.
But for yesterday, the roles are reversed for me. My dad actually took leave to bring me to Robinsons for the sale. He is more kan chiong than me about my study in Imperial. maybe thats why i dun seem to bother too much. i just wanna to live my life the fullest and enjoying singapore from now to september, that is.
In Robinsons, he saw a nice jacket which cost 99 bucks. i reminded him about the price but all he said was, 'juz buy lor'. in the end, he spent 250 bucks on 2 shirts, that jacket n trousers. i felt so bad. yes, i know, i know, i quite 'hip' (dialect for stingy and keeping by my side) money de but i felt the pinch for my dad.
As if that was not enough, we went down to TM to shop today. he bought another windbreaker for me and again i reminded him about the price but we still carried on. i felt touched, bad, lost. haiz. in the end, i bought another pair of shorts and shirt from FOX and OP and paid by myself. think i am going to spend a bit more for Fathers' Day le. ahhaa.
Back to yesterday, my parents left Robinsons at 3, leaving me alone stranded in Orchard. arranged to meet gy, duane, wq and jason to watch Da vinci code at 7plus! in the end, went shopping alone in orhcard. after finished conquering orchard, went over to suntec. my legs were damn tired and sat down in the food court to eat dessert.
DaVinci Code is a nice movie, commercially. i am not going to discuss about the contents here. All i can say is the essence of the book is displayed in the show. and little or no deviation from the book.
To all christians, take the fiction story with a pinch of salt. just remember what you stand for and where your faith belong to.
to the non-christians, this is a fiction. treat it as another story book even though some facts in the story are true.
heavenknows
