HEY peeps.

thanks to all those who made an effort to come to the airport. really really touched.
it really hit last evening before dinner at home. suddenly hit onto me and not feel like coming to london. dunno why. was walking around my neighbourhood and the feeling became stronger.

but now in london, feels soooo different. haaha. haiz feelings.

anw, me is safe and sound in my hostel. have unpacked everything and my roomate hasnt come yet. so i had the priviledged to choose my bed 1st. muahhaa. going to tour around my neighbourhood later.

the weather is very shiok. cooling. but got drizzle in the morning. now in the afternoon, got sun and temp at 23 degrees. DAMN SHIOK! me too excited to suffer from jetlag. maybe later. hahha.

going to meet the other singaporeans later for a tour around and my hostel is going for boat party tonight. it is clubbing anyway.

last day of year 2006 in singapore!

woke up at 10 this morning.
went to cut hair. like my new hairstyle. hahaha.
went to eat bak chor mee wif tur kwa from the famous chai chee noodle stall near my place.
went to buy groceries with my mum.
drank last cup of my fav, yam milk tea.

going to play my last dota game.
going to eat steamboat dinner with my family.
going to the airport!

me will most prob be entering the departure gate liaoz. i am feeling really excited here but feel bad leaving my family and frenz behind.

really grateful for everyone out there. know that u guys care for me and that is enough to spur me on. really.

nid to thank joel, my scholarship officer cos he has done alot of things for us. and i hate to admit this but even though i cant stand my dad sometimes, really need to thank him cos he made my life so much easier admist all the packing although my life was neutralised with all his rantings and ravings. ahahha.

ok back to today.

went to mustafa to change my currency. in the end changed at the rate of 3. ok lah still quite steep but what to do. the most pissing off thing was this shop doesnt accept Nets. the other shop in Mustafa itself didnt have pounds at that time. n stupid mustafa centre which is a 24hr shopping centre doesnt even have a posb atm!!!! have to walk all the way to jalan besar walk to withdraw $1800. feels scared holding the money. irritating!

den had lunch with liqi at sakae sushi.
met gy to get things from him and went to walk at hougang mall. today is the last day of the year of me going to hougang mall liao. hahaha.

managed to pack all my stuff le. :)

ok.

Hady won Singapore Idol! i supported jasmine and then jonathan after she was ousted last week. haizzzz. and Hady won by 70percent of the votes. BUT jonathan sang better. period.

OH! was watching the results show last night. if you watched and were observant like me n gy, we think that the 10 ousted finalists mouthed the words last night. the songs were all recorded, i think. cos during mathilda's solo segment, there was 1 part where she din sing but her voice came out anyway. i mean if they screwed up the performance abit, IT IS OK! there was a reason as to they were ousted, cos they could not sing as well in the 1st place.

me think is a syndrome of singaporeans as a whole. we, singaporeans cannot take failures and we are all perfectionists. some blame it on our lifestyles, blame it on the dod-eat-dog world. 1 wrong move like not doing well in school in the early stages of one's life, he is doomed to suffer when he goes out to work. y is the world's environment like that? is this the side effect of globalisation and hence competition?

me cant complain cos me din even vote too. hahha. however, since i am going to london, will miss superstar. it is the chinese version of SI. hopefully, pple will upload the performances onto youtube so i can watch. hahaha.

went all the way to mustafa centre to change currency. it is well known to have the lowest exchange rates in town. BUT the exchange rate today is a freaking 3.0230 at mustafa!!! Hougang mall's rate was 3.05!!!!! wth! din change in the end. since so high, might as well just wait for 1 or 2 more days. sighzzzz.

since i was in little india, decided to have indian food for lunch. my last indian food in singapore of the year! ate nasi bryani. :)

each day just passed by soooo fast. went to make a new pair of specs this morning. think i look intellectual. hahhaha. then went to meet duane n gy for lunch at j8's fei cui. thanks for having lunch with me. these 2 guys are my best frenz from army. :)

went into bishan library for the 1st time. the library was sooo noisy. so many students came in to study for their end-of -yr exams but they juz kept on yakking non-stop. haizzz. students nowadays.

oh! on 29th i will be at the airport at ard 830pm and i will go in at ard 1030 bah. if u guys can make it to see me off i really appreciate that u will be there. :)

can people stop saying they feel sad, cos i will feel sad too? haizzzz.

went to watch THE BANQUET just now.
1 burning question: WHO THE F*** killed Zhang Ziyi in the show?
did the director think that the show will be so well-received that a THE-BANQUET-2 will surface? oh please, i am more than turn-ed off lah.

the show is sooo long. i mean i can understand that since it was meant to be arty-farty. but my bladder could not understand. dunno why but think me has a weak bladder. always after movie will need to rush to the gents. during exams in the middle of papers sure need to go too. hahaha. ok lah, only these 2 scenarios.

back to the show. i liked the plot and i liked the way zhang ziyi died. she is pro in acting dying scenes. the slow motion dying scene was perfect. she muz have practised it by having constipation-then looked weak and white-then saw the murderer-then angry but still weak-then die. haha.

went to have dinner with some of my army friends. had the buffet at joaquim at suntec city. had rojak, chicken rice, steamboat. oh i ate oyster mee sua in the morning! hahaha. okie most singaporean food conquered liao but still will miss the food one lah! hahaha.

for those whom cant go to the airport to see me off, i hereby wish u all the best and stay happy. work/study hard and dun forget to miss me. :)

felt more depressed when sheryl cried. dunno why. hahaha.. and astee n shuhui said that i will cry on that day. muahaha.... but i have to agree i will be damn helpless n depressed if my mum cries.

finally, the bb dinner has come to an end. happy that it ended and ended well too. met up with seniors and juniors. they still look the same. hahaha.

15 days left and counting. gosh and fellow scholars are all panicking and complaining about unreadiness. haha. haizzz. the problem is i am not. ahha. my feelings are quite defined. 1 half of me cant wait to go and enjoy myself and prove to others that me can live independently! the other half is that i miss my frenz already even though i have not gone yet! hahaha.

pris is true man. y am i so emo? haha... anyway, the ucl gang is flying off next mon!!! time really flies man! this reminds me of camps esp the obs camp. there was this tunnel thingy. basically one by one, we have to crawl in the tunnel from one end to another in complete darkness. it is kinda like a maze. i guess the people who are waiting for their turn are curious to find out how their friends are doing and whether they themselves will handle the obstacle well. i think i am like the people at the back waiting for people to clear the obstacles. being the last few to fly off, will definitely be not sure about the unknown and yet curious about how the others are doing on the other side. hmmmmm...

The official letter has finally arrived to my letterbox. i am staying at garden hall which is very very near to campus. n i juz realised that i am called a gardener. great name! :( but i think this is still better than those staying in weeks hall. they are called weeklings!!!??? if it sounds ugly, juz introduce 'hi, i am from weeks hall' instead of 'aye dude, i am a weekling, wad about u?'

and that time, when i called up to ask which hall i was staying, the lady over the phone told me mine is single bedroom. BUT what rubbish was that? i got a freaking TWIN bedroom. which means i have to share the room with someone else. i mean i am keeping my fingers crossed as to hoping that i have a cool roommate but not cool enough to steal my things or be gay. i will totally freak out lah.

however, e realised her hall is damn far. poor gal. but this leads me to think. is a lousy roomie but a hall nearby is better of one that is far away but u can have ur own comfort for the night? haizzz. but never mind lah, this means i got more than sufficient money to spend. ahhah. will spend 120 pounds to learn french and maybe go for the ski trip which costs 300+ pounds.

and the accom office sux la!!! they want a reply by 14th september and they send out the letter on the 30th august. like hello, i live in singapore, not london!! i support SAFFC (actually i dun ahha) not chelsea lah! n if they dun DHL, more time ll be needed to send over lah. so now I muz speedpost over. damnmit, waste money...

forgot to blog about 02s34 class outing last week. eh it had the highest turnout since dunno when. 12 people! haha. but the irritating thing was that since most of the people in the class are in NUS, class outings are now in the west. grrrr.... but ok lah. otherwise cant meet them liao. Xilin n david were there too! hahaha.

had XO bee hoon at Holland Village. the XO was power and my face turned red, again! haha. it was a great day and i knew i wont see most of them again till next yr le. haizzz.

i admit that sometimes or yes yes most of the time, i say or do something stupid to make people laugh whether intentionally or accidentally. however, i reallie felt very stupid just now. arrrggghhh... n i am not surprised if u guys start to laugh.

it all started from me getting sick of waiting for the letter from accomodation office so i called up to ask them which hall i was posted to. then the girl whom i was speaking to told me that i was posted to some hall. she pronounced it as GORDON or something to that effect. since i could not catch it, she repeated a few times for me. i felt so pissed off that i asked her to spell the name of the hall.

one more event came and gone. i held my farewell party on sat night for my vsbb, vj 02s34 +shijin, vj CTcouncil+ziyang, army guys and the obs people and gerald. even though it was a simple dinner, i felt reallie blessed to have so many frens to be by my side. looking at the photos i think i gonna miss them man. missed those days when we all had fun together. felt like a social butterfly fleeting to different groups and interacting with them. hahaha. i was happy n i had fun. thank you all for the gifts be it big or small. really appreciate them. :) i will study hard and not let anyone down. was really disappointed that quite a no. of pple could not turn up but it is ok, cos ultimately i had fun and i am sure they all had reasons. esp. seth who lost his handphone and wallet man!
last monday, went to settle my air ticket. upon holding the e-ticket, i felt ambivalent. on one hand, bogged down by preparation stuff and sad for leaving the loved but on the other, cant wait to have fun, oops i mean study. hahha. yup yup. anyway, here are the photos. they are imcomplete. and bb pple we must take on the 15th during the dinner k?
