ok. din go to sainbury's last night cos the weather was too cold.
today was the 1st day when the rain was heavy. we went shopping for the 1st time. took a tube down to oxford circus. the tube is seriously very well planned and covered in london. as the advertisement wrote, " you cant beat the tube", this statement is so damn true.
then walked alot! went to topman and other shops. really tempted to buy but din buy. everything also convert to singapore dollars 1st before considering. there were quite a no of shirts which i found at reasonable price and i stopped myself from buying. told myself must come back fot the post christmas sale. hahaha. BUT was feeling damn low. juz walked and walked and window shopped. the feeling of not buying anything juz sux man.
in the end, walked to lilywhites and piccadily circus. n we walked the long way, passed by chinatown. n lilywhites sells damn cheap stuff. i bought a tee-shirt for 7pounds and a jacket for 12 pounds. both were at 70% sale. ahhaha.
had this feeling like i had walked from hougang to punggol.
oh, and the baugettes or sandwiches here are super balanced meals. got bread, meat and alot of salad ie vegetables. hahaa. ate 1 for lunch today.
1 event that occured just now:
me, keng seng, haojun and astee were at this sports shop and were taking the escalator up and out of the building. suddenly, the alarm rang and 3 guys started to run up the escalators. they were caught by the people working there. all were equally big-sized. and the shoplifters put up a struggle and they were fierce. 1 guy even tried to run up the other escalator which was descending. scary! n me think that in singapore for such cases, the shoplifters will manage to run away but will still get caught somehow lah but not in the shop itself. hahhaa.
yesterday was the day where i really talked to my roommate. we were having dinner together and i had a great conversation with him. n i no longer feel bad just mixing with the singaporeans so to speak. at least, i interact with people from other races and countries. i mean it is just the aim of those sponsoring bodies who sponsor us to go overseas to study. not only are we experiencing school in a different setting, we are expected to interact and know more about other cultures and explain our cultures to others. hopefully can even persuade them to come to singapore to have holiday and improve singapore's revenue from tourism. HAHAHA. word of mouth is an incredible way lor. i am quite glad that i am staying with someone else after all. haha.
oh, i bet my roommate must be thinking that i am an anti-social weirdo. cos me has not gone for any of my hall activities other than the boat party on the 1st day. hahha. there was a freshers ball just now and he asked me for the 3rd time this week i said no, i am not going. ahhaha. OH, i went for the barbeque too a few days ago. free food leh, y not? hahaha. ANYWAY, juz not used to the night life of london. basically, there is nothing other than drinking and chilling out and clubbing. n i dun like to be so wasted.
n i feels sad for my roommate. cos when i signed up for accomodation, i put there i am a late sleeper, ie after 1130pm. yet, recent nights i slept damn early. ok other than tonight, cos i am still blogging at 1250am. ahha. den, when i was going to sleep, he switched off his lights too, switching on only the switch lamps or sometimes not even at all but juz the laptops. i feel so paiseh. hahhaha.
anyway, i think he is smart too. he is that kind who studies hard and plays harder. luckily, both of us different departments. otherwise, i stressed ar. HAHHAHA.
kkiez, tmr morning nid to wake up at 8 plus to eat breakfast at the other hall. hahahha. going to sleep liao and my roommate is not back yet from the freshers ball. hahahaa.
