in 40 min time, i ll turn 21 in singapore's time. hahaha.

so now muz do AAR for the past yr and new resolutions for 2007. not that i have met all of them for 2006. at least i try. =p

2006 has been a wonderful yr for me, i feel. last 4 months of army, in ord mood and our commanders could not bother with us le. learnt alot during army and think i grew alot from there. and of cos the frenz and company make me appreciate life in army. who can forget our night's outs taking taxi to bukit timah and play dota den go over to buy the famous chicken rice and bring back to camp to eat? ahhhah. well, i cant.

after which, went to give tuition and helped out in the BB dinner till september. learnt alot in organising and preparing too.

of cos, the other bulk of time was spent on predepartue stuff, meeting wif other fellow students/colleagues to be, obs!! and the tspc. ahhaha. enjoyed myself there. wonderful to have close frenz wif me now as well. miss obs days too even though it was only like 4-5 days. ahahah.

leisure time will be to go out wif all my frenz. ktv sessions, lunches, mahjong sessions, drinking sessions blah blah... i miss all of them now. ahhaha...

den from end september onwards, still stuck in london. studying, playing, touring, blah blah.... had alot of fun.. so not too bad... and i think i learn alot of stuff here too, other than studies lahh. yup interpersonal relations, blah blah...

anyways, 2006 was a great yr for me. hhahaha....

21 yrs old liaoz. hmmm... i am still not struck by the number. ahha. yes, i am older. heez... my wishes ar?

my family and frenz to be happy, really happy.
health for everyone.
me to get my desired grades. (i have high expectations of myself =p)

my mum was niao-ing on my hair for quite some time.

she saw haojun's hair on the day of departure. she started to make fun of his hair.
she saw guojun's hair. she blurted out laughing.

post xmas yesterday was horrible... there were so many pple in the shopping district and the sale wasnt reallie fantastic.

made me ponder. i had never stepped into a zara shop in singapore before but since i came to london, I have stepped into zara so many times. no lahh, din buy much stuff from there also.

hate the difference between euroes and pounds, especially after touring around other parts of europe. when i got back to london and was shopping yesterday, saw a polo shirt for my dad thought that it was cheap and i went to queue up. then i realised to convert to singapore dollars is times 3 not times 2!!!

but today, went to the shopping area near my area. the shop NEXT is soooo cheap.. haha. when i entered the shop, i juz chiong-ed and looked at the shirts. darius is a happy boy now.

2 facts about london:
- ice cream is cheaper during winter. the singaporeans here buy sooo many tubs of ben and jerry's.
-soap is cheaper during winter too. my fren told me that the brits here generally bathe once every 3 days during winter. eeeeeeee.

oh when i was in spain, saw this very nice belt from springfield. liked it alot. but it doesnt have my size and length and i duwan to alter the belt so i din buy. partly because i din have much money left too. but when i come back to london looking at the belts in the shops, i will not be happy at the selections of belts. i think this is because i am comparing these belts with the one i saw at springfield.

think it is my character huh? haizz. this has not only happened to belts but to other situations as well I THINK and this is not good i feel.

ok. i am in a bitchy mood now.
before that, thanks for all the well wishes and gifts.. reallie appreciate it. =)

juz now i was reallie pissed at the security person at my hall. the thing was i went to collect my parcels. i know that there were 3 parcels flying somewhere coming to my hall. 1 of them belonged to jake. he is staying at my place now with guojun and he needs his books that he ordered from amazon...

anyway, in my letter post i saw 2 slips asking me to collect the parcels. so off i went happily to collect them. when i signed against my name, i signed 2 times and of which the 1st one has a x2 beside my name. i took note of it asked the security whether there was anything else. he said nope and so i took off with me 2 parcels, 1 of which is jake's.

when i opened my parcel, i was surprised cos i received the 2nd parcel that my dad gave to me but not the 1st one. i was puzzled so just now i went to ask them about it.

this time round was a different person. he noticed me last night collecting 2 parcels. he frowned and said," din u bring 2 parcels with u?" i said i am supposed to have 3.

"why din u collect them yesterday?"
"cos i wasnt informed"
"but u signed for them"
"i am sorrie but 2+1=3! i am supposed to have 3 parcels and i wasnt informed yesterday"

he shrugged off and went to take the parcel.
cant he bloody hell went to take it and pass it to me since he knows that the parcel belongs to him? why must he make such a fuss? i noe lahh... doing duty in the office in the cold weather on xmas is the most happening thing on earth but still it doesnt warrant that behaviour lo. irritating.... make me so pissed off.

den i asked him after i collected.
"do i need to resign or anything?"
"well u had signed for them yesterday already" *in a bitchy manner

"werent u informed that u are supposed to collect 3 parcels on the slips that are posted to ur letterbox?"
"errr.. NO!"

WTH! i am a maths imperial college student; not a preschooler studying in kindergarten in Antartica!

Came back from spain!

Hohoho! merry merry xmas!!!

Reallie glad i went to Spain. this trip wasnt reallie a shopping trip but i am equally happy cos i travelled quite abit during this period of time. more photos later.

arrived in madrid. the hostel was reallie small and cosy. 7 of us stayed together in a room. too bad, ghim hwee has to sleep somwhere else. went to have lunch at museum of ham. apparently, the spanish people like pigs alot. they hung millions of ham around the restaurant and the food was super oily. i almost puked out my lunch.

we went to walk around the parks which were very nice. madrid is colder than london. the scenery and the archtecture are reallie nice.

2nd day we went to visit the royal family castle and other places. saw a singaporean tour group there too! oh and we saw hannah and her frenz touring around madrid too! hahhahh... the world is so small.

madrid is full of fountains and nice sculptures. oh and luckily clarence has a fren who lives in madrid so she was bringing us around for good food. chinese are damn smart. they learn spanish and go to madrid to earn a living. not a bad move i feel. the spanish have their lunches at 2 and dinners at 9 plus 10. shops are closed from 2-5 and it is known as a fiesta and the shopkeepers all go to rest. it was due to a tradition where during summer cos it is super hot so they will take a break..

we went to segovia for a day too. it has the same touristy feeling as brugges and the scenery is juz so damn freaking nice. me, astee and clarence even left our marks there too! =) ahhaha.

in barcelona, we went to see the olympic stadium, olympic village. oh and san grada and the maze thingy where the contestants in the recent amazing race went! the maze thingy is cool lo. we even played catching in the maze. hahah so fun!!

so proud of myself cos i only spent a total of 300 pounds for this whole trip! and other souvenirs and i din buy anything else for myself. =p

a nice week spent i must say. and post xmas shopping! whoppie! hahaha
but still need to study.. damn!

A student asks a teacher, "What islove?"

The teacher said, "in order toanswer your question, go to the padifield and choose the biggest padi andcome back.

But the rule is: you can go throughthem only once and cannot turn back topick."

The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big padi, but he wonders....may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one... but may be there is a even bigger one waiting for him.

Later, when he finished more than halfof the padi field, he starts to realize that the padi is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted!!!! So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand.

The teacher told him, "...this is love... you keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already missed the person...."

"What is marriage then?" the student asked.

The teacher said, "in order to answeryour question, go to the corn fieldand choose the bigges t corn and comeback.

But the rule is: you can go throughthem only once and cannot turn back topick.

"The student went to the corn field,this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfied,and come back to the teacher.

The teacher told him, "this time you bring back a corn.... you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one youget.... this is marriage."

The holidays are finally here!

but i am feeling quite sian. cos the whole hall is so quiet now. everybody has gone off le. some of the singapore soc has gone to france for a ski trip. think i ll go next yr. anyways, my roommate has gone home so do alot of people. ahhaha. feels like i am owning the whole hall! =)

never mind, 2 more days and off to spain. whoppee!

i am feeling so sian now. should be studying now but just dun have the feeling to do it. haha. shall study after dinner then. but later still need to bake cake with my kakis. haizzz. ahaha.

anyway, so feel like blogging now.

2 more days and the term will end! yes, i can finally breathe. the last 2 weeks have been hectic. BUT i am still not happy. y? cos i want to finish all my problem sheets before i go to spain. so that when i come back, can do part-time shopping and part-time revision for my jan tests. grrr.. so quite a bit to do for this weekend, or so i hope. hahha.

the irritating thing is there are 4 modules for me to study. jan test can be a good gauge of my understanding. and i dun mind mugging for it, hard. however, the percentage of it is so little that it puts me off. seriously. haiiizzzzz.

xmas is round the corner! it is a relatively big thing here in London. watched Love Actually the other night. hhahaha. in the show, it is claimed that xmas is the time to tell the truth. my response is dun be stupid. there are always things which u should not and never say out even no matter which day of the year.

it pains me to see people around to be hurt and sad. or anyone i know for that matter. haizzz. especially when i dunno how to help. but anyways, idealistic me has already been knocked on the head that long term relationship is reallie reallie hard. but still being idealistic me think that it is possible. hahaha.

and no, dun worry, my heart still belongs to me. no 1 has snatched it yet. =p dun ask me why, just dun have lo. hahaha.

enjoy ur hols! i am gg to enjoy it, at least half of it. the other half will be mugging. =(
cant wait to go to spain and for gj and jake to come down to london.
