Thursday, March 29, 2007:poland!
me is in krakow, poland now!
waiting for my turn to bathe, nothing to do so decided to blog about my trip so far.

Day Zero
Supposed to meet the rest at Linstead Hall at 9pm but as usual, we left at 920pm instead. took the bus at 1010pm to Luton Airport. The bus driver was super flirty lahh, flirting with the other female passengers and still had the cheek to say that we are going to poland to look for polish chicks. hahah. but i have to admit that polish gals are quite good-looking. =)

Reached the airport at 1130pm. totally had nothing to do till 4am. went to buy FHM magazine to read. 1st magazine i bought in london and i have to say that FHM in london thrash singapore's hands down.

Day One
Anyways, managed to sleep here and there till 4plus where we checked in. had breakfast at BK den went in for sercurity. the security was a bitch seriously, to astee at least. 1st, they asked her to take out her shoes. then they kept her bag for investigations. normally, the officers will just take out the contents to check but for her case, the officer asked her in an interrogating manner, "did u pack it yourself?" and took an ionising stuff to go through every content in her bag. it was super kua zhang can? the funny thng was he was super intermidated by us guys, cos he kept asking us to go away and not stare at him. i bet he thought that we hired astee to do something wrong. hahah.

Slept in the plane throughout. we were all so nuah that we were the last to leave the plane. Amazing Race tip no 1: if u see that buses are present to send you to the immigration customs, be the last to leave the plane. this is because u ll be the 1st to reach the immigration customs, which was exactly wad happened to us. hahah.

The customs was another nightmare. cos the immigration officer could not pronounce clearly and the rest had to ask her to repeat before they understood what she said. think she must have felt really stressed. anyways, it was majiam like another oral exams lo. i was the last among us to go through the customs. "whats your purpose?" i got the question. so happy! the next question was "how many days?" and i answered too. the funny part came after that. she asked me,"1st time?" i said, "1st time" then she thought i could not understand her question and she juz screamed "1stttt timmmeee?" i was sooo shocked that i shouted back "1sttt timmeee" and i nodded my head. realised that a restounding "YES!" could have been better.

took a bus and walked quite a bit in warsaw to our hostels den we went to walk around and bought train tix to come to krakow. felt that warsaw was quite boring. there was nothing much to see and the city was quite dusty. had polish dinner. we had polish dumplings. a super salty soup in a cup. we all took risks cos we din know what the drinks actually were. i regretted my drink man! the menu wrote buttermilk and i got a super sour yoghurt.

Day Two
This morning, woke up at 5am to catch the train at 645am to krakow. it was quite a nice train and we just slept the whole journey. krakow was much better because think the people learn basic english. and krakow attracts tourits too. there was this super big shopping centre which reminded us of marina in singapore lah.

we went to see the castles and musems and visited the jewish quarters. the whole area looked quite sad, and according to astee, felt like war had just ended. we walked until all of us were so tired and we juz came back after dinner and were playing hearts in our hostels and having fun. now not tired anymore. hahaha.

okok going to bathe liao.
shall blog more about my trip soon.
