Friday, August 08, 2008:no food and drinks allowed!
just 3minutes ago, i was looking at astee's super random entry about money. i was so amused by that entry and i was reminded myself that i have not written a super random entry in a long while. heez.

oh let me start this entry proper by what peeves me the most now. i cant stand the super-on attitude of those people in charge of the NEL trains. they have to stop people from drinking even plain water from water bottle in the trains. yes, there is a sign on the train that states that no eating and drinking is allowed. but what is the purpose of this rule? it is prevent any inconvenience to other commuters in terms of smell of food, spillage of food and drinks which can cause discomfort to them.

BUT plain water from water bottles? even if there is spillage on the floor, it is just water! not like it is some sticky liquid that is not easily removed. if someone is drinking bubble tea or loosely packaged drinks then he is ought to be shot. commuters may need to have a sip of water after some time and i think plain water is perfectly fine.

also, what about milk bottles for the babies? do the commuters have to endure the high pitched crying of the poor little things just because no drinking is allowed?

my point is, can people dun be so rigid? we are not talking about bending the rules here but we must always ask ourselves why the rules are there. for example, talk about spillage of food and drinks, that means we can chew other small stuff like sweets because such spillage will never occur.

similarly, even if a little amount of water is spilled accidentally on other people, it is only water! and i dun think the other commuters will make a big fuss over it. (unless the one offended carries an LV bag and water will damage his clothing.. haha)

dunno why i have been making alot of dreams lately with students running around me in them. i even dreamt of some students from the class that i taught in my short stint. 304 from Xinmin. :) haha.. oh i saw 8 of the guys last week at ang mo kio. the moment they saw me, they were looking at me from head to toe. "wha.. u look very different leh! (from my working attire that is)" they are all sooo nice to talk to. numbers were exchanged and i was quite happy to get to know them. that class arh.. hai. they can get reallie rowdy. it is obvious that they dun like their form teacher and they were giving her quite abit of problem. but as a whole, the class is quite nice to teach. i will rather teach a class like this than a boring class lo.

when the same things start to happen again for the umpteenth time, i am already numb and dun want to retaliate already. everything will be over soon, the next phase of life will come reallie soon... gambatte!!
